Exploring interactive ceramic structures, partially inspired by one of Park Young Sook’s moon jars that had a dip in the middle that invited the audience to hug one of the large structures. I love to have "viewers" experience art through touch, a sense that is often neglected and restricted due to the conservation of art. The audience is invited to hug this Basin through the middle.Also inspired by traditional East Asian, specifically Chinese watercolor paintings, and Ancient Chinese/Egyptian Funerary structures and architecture.
